Thank you President Bush!
All’indomani del “nightmare day” della parte “liberal” degli Stati Uniti per la messa in onda di “The Path to 9/11” da parte dell’emittente ABC (in cui appaiono palesi le “mollezze” dell’amministrazione Clinton responsabile, tra le altre cose, di non aver voluto fermare Bin Laden per tempo), il Presidente Bush ha fatto un discorso sulla war on terror che sta riscuotendo un enorme successo. Vi consiglio assolutamente la lettura del discorso del quale vi riporto alcuni stralci:
Five years after our nation was attacked, the terrorist danger remains. We’re a nation at war — and America and her allies are fighting this war with relentless determination across the world. Together with our coalition partners, we’ve removed terrorist sanctuaries, disrupted their finances, killed and captured key operatives, broken up terrorist cells in America and other nations, and stopped new attacks before they’re carried out. We’re on the offense against the terrorists on every battlefront — and we’ll accept nothing less than complete victory.

These evil men know that a fundamental threat to their aspirations is a democratic Iraq that can govern itself, sustain itself, and defend itself. They know that given a choice, the Iraqi people will never choose to live in the totalitarian state the extremists hope to establish. And that is why we must not, and we will not, give the enemy victory in Iraq by deserting the Iraqi people.

Bin Laden and his terrorist allies have made their intentions as clear as Lenin and Hitler before them. The question is: Will we listen? Will we pay attention to what these evil men say? America and our coalition partners have made our choice. We’re taking the words of the enemy seriously. We’re on the offensive, and we will not rest, we will not retreat, and we will not withdraw from the fight, until this threat to civilization has been removed.

Azz… sarebbe bello sapere se le ballerine da operetta della Comunità Europea si sono scordate dove han messo le palle oppure se non trovano manco un ghostwriter che scriva per loro un discorsetto simile a quello di Bush.
Peccato che la fine del discorso del Presidente ammerigano tolga di mano le carte al D’Alemino di turno.

Nel confermare che, da sinistra, a qualcuno Bush non sta sulle palle, sarebbe carino ricordarci i discorsi della dirigenza del PCI durante gli anni del terrorismo.
In particolare quello di Lama a San Giovanni, in cui si parlava della sinistra come forza a difesa della democrazia, in cui si ri-chiamavano tutte le persone di sinistra all’attenzione nei luoghi di lavoro, contro i fascisti e quelli che, magari credendosi comunisti, si comportavano da fascisti…
Penso da un bel po’ di tempo che il parallelo con l’esperienza italiana degli anni di piombo calza molto. Sia da una parte che dall’altra: lo stato infatti vinse quando creò una struttura super-coordinata a cui diede “carta bianca” e una linea di report diretta (la struttura di Dalla Chiesa).
E, per continuare il paragone, tra l’Asinara e Guantanamo non è che ci siano tutte ’ste differenze..
e per continuare il paragone … l’Italia si salvò quando smisero di dire che erano tutte cose organizzate dallo Stato stesso…
In realtà la cosa più misteriosa non è tanto il non aver bombardato i campi di Osama da parte di Clinton (che aveva altre gatte da pelare…), ma il reiterato rifiuto di estradarlo dal Sudan (sempre durante l’amministrazione del simpatico presidente sigaraio).
Però scusa non capisco perchè se Lee fa un documentario parlando male di come Bush ha gestito Katrina strumentalizza, mentre screditare l’attenzione di Clinton alla minaccia terrorista (a due passi dalle elezioni mid-term) è una sacrosanta opera di informazione.
Non lo so se la soluzione fu l’abbandono della dietrologia. A dire la verità ce ne è ancora moltissima e, sinceramente, alcuni coinvolgimenti dei servizi segreti sono agli atti. L’Italia degli anni 70 erano due stati uno dentro l’altro.
Io penso che, per dirla come Benigni, si sono messi intorno ad un tavolo quando hanno capito che poteva toccare ad uno di loro, cioè dopo il caso Moro.
Speriamo che non succeda anche stavolta.

Poi nel merito ti dico che io adifferenza di persone che nemmeno voglio nominare non sono ossessionato da Repubblican Vs Liberal perchè credo che in Italia ed in Europa siamo conciati così male che anche il più liberal degli Statunitensi ci farebbe solo bene. Ti dico anche che Clinton non poteva fermare Bin Laden perchè aveva le mani legate dall’opinione pubblica (arma fondamentale dei terroristi). Ti dico che fino ad 1 secondo prima che il secondo aereo si schiantasse nel WTC nessuno avrebbe mai potuto immaginare una cosa simile. ti dico che per assurdo Clinton h afatto molte politiche “con”. Ti dico che a me non piace comunque raccontare queste cose perchè concimano lo slogan “gli americani quanti errori che hanno fatto” che finisce per diventare “un po’ se la sono cercata..”.

Bè, a parte che la frase su Cuba l’hai inventata sul momento… attento a percorrere la strada delle manchevolezze nella lotta al terrorismo, perchè potresti arrivare nel ripido sentiero del complottismo…
potresti imbatterti nella storia di John O’Neill (molto più interessante del bombardamento mancato a Bin Laden, e anche dei Boeing fantasma)…
Magari nel giro di qualche mese avrai un bel banner di “Capricorn One”, posterai sull’omicidio di Diana e linkerai Mike Ruppert, disinformazione.it e i raeliani.

P.S. il fatto è che non era solo l’opinione pubblica: Clinton non ha avuto problemi a bombardare una fabbrica di medicinali in Sudan (o Somalia?), nè a fare la guerra in Kosovo (dopo il Sexgate!), nè a continuare la guerra a bassa intensità contro l’Iraq… Nel nostro lessico familiare era Bill “Bombarolo” Clinton.
Il discorso è legato invece ai rapporti con l’Arabia Saudita… saranno forse gonfiati, ma i casi di agenti dell’FBI a cui hanno tarpato le ali mentre indagavano sulla famiglia Bin Laden o su altri membri del jet-set saudita (http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antefatti_all%2711_settembre, ma anche e soprattutto http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_P._O%27Neill) sono un po’ troppi per essere trascurati da un’analisi sugli errori USA.
Dire che non ci si aspettava “niente del genere” è comunque assurdo, visto che il primo a parlare della possibilità di aerei kamikaze è Yousef (autore del primo attacco al WTC) arrestato nel 1995.

Di solito mi piace la comunicazione e l’approfondimento giornalistico. Questa volta no, perché si parla di uno dei peggiori uomini del Novecento. Qquindi dirò semplicemente: spero che Bush sia eliminato dalla scena politica mondiale. In un modo o nell’altro, per il bene del mondo.

We are not seeing his fine speeches now in full. Our MSM is very liberal and very anti-the President. He is a fine man. I do not share his open-border policies but he is the man to fight the terrorists. If he had 1/10 support from our left-liberals, things would be different. We here don’t seem to know that we are in a war for our culture’s life.

Back to read thr President’s speech. What worries me is that in both Afghanistan and Iraq, the folks voted for Sharia Law to be supreme and even above their constitutions. This worries me with regard to their future. Islam and democracy are not compatible.
